COMMERCIAL ANALYST  

Position: Commercial Analyst
Reporting to: Commercial Manager
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape


A great opportunity has become available for an individual looking for experience in an exciting, fast-paced and dynamic
environment. While there are some financial elements to this position, the role will involve regular interactions with our
customers, suppliers and our internal teams. The ideal candidate will therefore be a driven and analytical individual with a
passion for understanding and improving business efficiencies and who is keen to develop and grow within the
commercial space.


Key Job Functions
- Analysing Sales performance - categories and products trading up or down.
- Compile and analyse commercial reporting to effectively aid the Commercial team in making accurate informed
decisions.
- Completion of a forecasting and what-if analysis. Take into consideration current sales trends, how future orders
look, budget progress tracking and the potential impact of price or exchange rate fluctuations.
- Building of basic cost and sales planning models.
- Presentation of sales overviews to customers and suppliers.


Knowledge and Experience Required
- Knowledge and experience working with a Syspro system (advantageous).
- Knowledge and experience working with Qlikview (advantageous).
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (advanced excel advantageous).
- CA (with completed articles)/CIMA/BCom degree with a focus on Finance, Analytics or Statistics

DEBTORS & CASHBOOK CLERK

Position: Debtors & Cashbook Clerk
Reporting to: Financial Accountant
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape


A great opportunity has become available for a debtors and cashbook clerk looking for experience in an exciting, fastpaced
and dynamic environment. The role will involve working with both the debtors and cashbook functions within
Rialto’s Finance Team.
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who is able to function well with our Finance Team to achieve and
maintain a high quality delivery standard.


Key Job Functions
Debtors
- Daily problem resolution and account reconciliation.
- Payment follow up and allocation thereof.
- Ad hoc invoicing and credit note processing.
- Accurate record keeping to ensure data bases and files are kept updated.
- Open and maintain customer accounts\Keep records of all communications.
- All documents filed and kept in accordance with directives and procedures.
- Attention on Key Accounts – follow up on all queries.
- Maintaining clearing account logs and ensuring it is cleared.
- Ensuring payments are receipted timorously.
- Weekly Age Analysis status reporting.
Cashbook
- Assisting with the cashbook function
- Effective completion of bank reconciliations
- Processing and maintaining of required reconciliations.
- Reconciling /Cross Checking to Bank Statement customers’ account payments.
- Provide general ad hoc support to the Finance Team as required.


Knowledge and Experience Required
- Knowledge and experience in working with Syspro system.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working with debtors and cashbook responsibilities.
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel (advanced knowledge would be advantageous).
- Relevant Degree or Diploma required.

FOOD TECHNOLOGIST

Position:  Food Technologist

Reporting to:   Technical Manager

Location:  Cape Town, Western Cape

 

An exciting opportunity has become available for a food technologist looking for experience in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment. The ideal candidate will be a driven and self-motivated individual with a passion for product and achieving excellence.

 

The purpose of the role is to provide technical support to our Sales Representatives and Warehousing. In the position, you will need to liaise with suppliers, customers and government officials and maintain all relevant documentation to prove due diligence. The role will further involve conducting trend analyses and assisting with food technology improvements.

 

Key Job Functions

  • Set up and maintain a data base of current supplier assurance information.
  • Set and maintain a data base of product specifications.
  • Conduct shelf life studies on raw materials.
  • Conduct desk top risk assessment of potential new suppliers.
  • Ensure all products imported for Rialto Foods meet statutory, legal and regulatory requirements.
  • To understand food law to ensure product and packaging comply with legal requirements.
  • To remain constantly up to date with the technical changes in the manufacturing industry.
  • Handle all technical queries on a day to day basis.
  • Log and investigate customer complaints and respond.
  • Monitor customer complaints and take appropriate action to avoid further complaints.
  • To use knowledge of food safety to ensure safely manufactured products to required standards.
  • Good working relationship with suppliers.
  • Managing and trending of non-conformances raised.
  • Perform other technical duties as required by the business.

 

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years Industry experience
  • Technical Food science degree qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience (B Tech)
  • Knowledge of technical processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of food safety and packaging legal requirements
  • Knowledge of the technical role in the product development process
  • Knowledge of the technical requirements of food manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control systems and processes
  • Knowledge of project management
  • Knowledge of category management in a matrix structure
  • Knowledge of technical food safety auditing desirable

 HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER

Position:                HR Officer

Reporting to:        HR Manager

Location:               Cape Town, Western Cape

 

An exciting opportunity has become available for an HR Officer looking for experience in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment. The ideal candidate will be a driven and self-motivated individual interesting in gaining exposure within a generalist HR function and who is passionate about building people value.  

The HR Officer will work closely with the HR Manager to deliver a quality HR service to the business and will be responsible for supporting recruitment, training and development, labour relations, performance management and organisational culture functions.

Key Job Functions

  • Ensure company adherence to HR policies and processes
  • Drive and support the performance management process
  • Update and maintain job profiles
  • Administering of the recruitment and selection process, recruiting for a broad range of functions and roles
  • Facilitation of the on-boarding and induction process including updating HR records with employee details
  • Implementation and monitoring of learnership and skills programmes
  • Coordination and scheduling of training interventions in accordance with the training plan and business requirements
  • Assist with disciplinary hearings and warning allocations
  • Support disciplinary matters, performance management processes and employee grievance meetings
  • Attend and support employment equity and training committee meetings
  • HR reporting including Training (in line with SETA requirements), Employment Equity, BBBEE and ad hoc HR reporting as needed
  • Keep HR filing and administration up to date
  • Ensure that payroll is provided with the necessary employee information
  • Promote a healthy company culture supportive of business values

 

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • HR or relevant Degree/Diploma
  • 2 years of generalist HR experience
  • Working with trade unions advantageous
  • Knowledge and application of labour legislation, particularly the BCEA, LRA and SDA
  • Experience working within a FMCG or wholesale and retail environment will be preferable
  • Good understanding of key HR processes
